I might get in trouble for this but…

Here is a nice tune recorded on November 15 in my garage on John’s new Zoom PS04. We did this in a little over two hours so it’s a bit rough. The song is amazing I think. I believe John wrote it with a female vocalist in mind, hence the high parts, which btw I think John did pretty well! If you listen carefully just after the last cymbal crash you can hear Zooey meow.

It was not my inner woman singing, I blame the falsetto on a combination of enthusiasm, alcohol, lycra sand shoes, alcohol, high humidity and recent bad news concerning a friends’s suitcase.
I will not be judged by this presentation until the latter version I prefer is presented as a present presently.
Also I did NOT mean to make Zooey squeak in the outro. I believe the comment was her own and make of it what you will. I hear it as an encouraging squeak with a Smiths angst edge flavouring it.
From now on I am writing songs of 30 seconds or less duration as I do not seem to have the attention span to be able to complete anyth

Are you sure that alleged squeak by Zooey wasn’t just john perforating his vocalus choardas. That high stuff might have been a bit much in such a warm climate. I’m sure he will perfect the squeak in the “wee dells” of the homeland!

Nocturnal again, so thoughts fly to where you are all awake when I seem to be.

    Love this song. x

    Message for John

Hey John, Kevin Long here, from Abingdon. What a surprise to see you in QLD now - my folks lived there about 10 years ago and loved it. Hope you are well, get in touch if you have time, would love to hear from you.

    Kevin.
